Crafty Challenge Make

Here's a card I made for a crafty challenge set by a member on the Crafts Beautiful Forum ... the challenge was to make a card following the theme of Autumn and it's colours ... I really enjoyed doing it and am pleased with the result :)

Tyler is 8 months old now and is rolling over and sitting up ... they grow and develop so fast :o)

He is a right little character and always has a gorgeous smile for his Nanna.

He's teething at the mo and has an ear infection.

He (or rather his Mum ... lol) loves to dress him in Ted Baker and he has so much stuff Tasha could start a shop!!!

CHOCOLATE & ICE CREAM

Chocolate and ice cream are two of my most favourite things ... lol !

I love Cadbury's Dairy Milk, Fry's Turkish Delight, Cadbury's Flake and Thorntons (where do I start with theirs ?) ... Alpini bars, Vienesse truffle bars, strawberry and white chocolate marbled buttons, fondant pig, fondant mouse and their milk chocolate classic selection ... yummy yummy yummy ;)

I love Cornish vanilla ice cream, Cadbury's Flake ice cream, Cornettos, Haagen Daas (not sure if that's spelt right) and again Thorntons ice cream ... all so lush ;)

Callie-Mai's Visit To Twycross Zoo ...

Callie-Mai went to Twycross Zoo today (Tuesday 5th August 2008) with her Mummy (Laura) and some friends.

Don't have any photos but she saw penguins, apes, sea lions, giraffes, leopards, flamingos, various monkeys, mountain goats and elephants.

Now she's come home and keeps roaring and making monkey noises - lol !

She's just going to bed as she's very tired after such a long and exciting day !

3 Months Old

Well what can I say ... she's absolutely gorgeous and makes us all laugh so much.

She's a right little character & a mega chatterbox too ... she says lots of words, can count to 6, knows most of her colours and knows to look left then right then left when crossing the road :o) She started putting sentences together a couple of months ago and tells people off if they leave rubbish around.

She loves her dolls and likes In The Night Garden, Balamory and Bob The Builder.

My Children ...

Tasha, Jak and Laura

I have three super children who I adore ...

Laura aged 21 - Laura is caring, bubbly and sometimes stubborn. She is a single Mum to Callie-Mai who's almost two. Laura has always been into dancing, singing and performing (she's fondly referred to as the Drama Queen). She has a Diploma in Contemporary Popular Music and is hoping to go to Uni shortly.

Tasha aged 19 - Tasha is outspoken, vivacious and considerate. She is Mum to Tyler who is 8 months old and she lives with her boyfriend Ben or Chambers. She works in a day nursery and has NVQ Level 2 in Child Care (she is working towards her NVQ 3).

Jak aged 17 - Jak is funny, outgoing and very caring. He is in the 6th Form studying a BTEC National Diploma in Engineering. He has a grilfriend Naomi or Nay who is like part of the furniture (they've been together 2 years) - lol ! Jak is an avid Manchester United fan (although he says they're not doing too well at the mo!

All About Me ...

My name is Melanie and i'm 41 years young ! I was born in Lincoln, UK on 21st Novmber 1967 ... Welcome To My World ...

My other half is Ian who's 43; is my world and computer mad !!!

We have three super children - Laura aged 21, Tasha aged 20 and Jak aged 17.

We have a gorgeous grandaughter called Callie-Mai who's almost 2 and a handsome grandson Tyler who is 8 months.

My main passion is crafting and I have certainly caught the crafting bug ... it's very contagious and also very addictive - lol ! I am creating a crafting haven (was the spare bedroom) and just love to go up there and progrees the transformation (even though it's slow) but can't wait to get it finished and go and relax surrounded by all my crafting goodies !!! I'm mainly into cardmaking & papercraft but also make jewellery and can't wait to do sequin art but have never got round to it.

I also enjoy reading chick-lit & crime, caring for my two dogs - Buddy - a border collie and Bailey - a rottweiler, crosswords, pub quizzes, eating out (when I get the chance and have spare cash), watching TV (some soaps, some documentaries, some films, most sport, shopping channels & a few other things), swimming, walking, blogging (now i've got into it), online shopping, craft & recycling forums and writing... one day i'm going to write a book called Bad Things Happen to Good People (watch out for it ... lol :o)

I collect pigs & fairies. I also have loads of cuddly toys & handbags of all descriptions :)

My fave colour is purple, my fave food is Barbeque Chicken Melt with salad & chips, my fave drinks are Pepsi Max on ice, lime & lemonade on ice, coffee (especially Cafe Latte) & hot chocolate with marshmallows, cream and choc flakes, my fave perfume is UltraViolet by Paco Rabanne, I love music ... mostly rock, indie and dance (a bit of a mix there - lol but don't really have a particular genre of music that i'm into and will listen to most things except Classical and Country) and i'm rarely seen without jeans - lol !!!
